Speaker : 김*수 박사 (UC Riverside)4. 제목 : Finding solutions of a polynomial via blow-up algebras5. 초록: In algebraic geometry, blowing-up is an indispensable tool; for instance, it was the main tool in the proof of Hironaka’s celebrated result on the resolution of singularities of algebraic varieties over characteristic zero field. Blow-ups (or blowup algebras) of algebraic varieties (or of rings) have been studied intensively in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra. In this talk, we explore some relation between finding solutions of a polynomial and blowup algebras.
